Why We Support St. Jude

Remembering Sierra
My daughter Sierra passed away from Undifferentiated Soft Tissue Sarcoma on August 24th 2007. She only lived for 11 months following her diagnosis. This was devastating. No one should ever have to watch their child suffer and then die. I didn’t know how to handle the grief. Shortly after Sierras death I started to run. A close friend told me that was what she did when she felt stressed in any way. A year after I started my team “Remembering Sierra”. This gave me hope, this made me feel like I was doing something in her memory and doing something that will make a difference.
For years my team participated in the walk/run for Childrens Cancer research. We joined St Judes in 2022. We are proud to be a part of this mission and walk/run in honor and in memory of all children who are fighting Cancer or those that have lost this battle.
This September, once again we’re joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Can we count on your donation to support our team?
Since its founding 60 years ago, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.
And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Please join us in this battle to cure childhood. Cancer!! We need your help!
Thank you for supporting us and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
