When I began my internship at ALSAC/St. Jude, I thought I understood the impact this organization had on the world. But nothing could have prepared me for what it feels like to see the mission come to life every single day. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was surrounded by a sense of hope, determination, and love that is impossible to put into words.

I’ve watched teams work tirelessly, knowing that every effort—no matter how small—brings us one step closer to saving a child’s life. I’ve heard stories of resilience and courage that will stay with me forever. And I’ve seen the way St. Jude wraps its arms around families during the hardest moments of their lives, never asking them to pay a dime for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

Being part of this mission has changed me. It has shown me what it truly means to fight for something bigger than yourself. Every day here reinforces my belief that no child should die in the dawn of life—and that together, we can make that belief a reality.

This internship hasn’t just shaped my career—it has touched my heart in ways I never expected. I will carry this purpose with me for the rest of my life, always standing alongside the mission of St. Jude.
