St. Jude saved my life more than 25 years ago. My 2+ year battle affected my entire family, but it was the day-to-day life of my mother, Lorraine and me. It was the path we traveled together. This will be my 6th fundraising run for St. Jude. Last year my mother intended to run with me for her first time and we helped raise money together. She passed away unexpectedly not long before the event. I carried her shoes and her spirit was with me. There was no other charity she believed in more than St. Jude. I'll run the 10K again this year in her memory, with her in my heart and because we can't hold each other at the finish line, I will carry her shoes again.
