Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
My husband, Brian Coons, passed away on
June 21,2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the most wonderful husband, father, brother, son, uncle, friend….
St. Jude was his favorite charity. Each month as we donated as a family he would talk to our kids about why it was such an amazing organization. We know first hand the pain of having someone in the family with cancer. And despite Brian living with this daily for 3.5 years - he always would say he couldn’t imagine a child having cancer.
A few weeks before he passed he asked me to request St. Jude donations in lieu of flowers.
I know he will be smiling from above when he knows we will make sure this happens.
We love you and miss you babe… We promise to always keep St. Jude in our lives- in your honor.
You’re our hero forever.

Thanks to you donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
