National Series Sponsor
The American Airlines partnership began in 2006 as primarily an awareness partner for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Since 2006, the partnership has flourished, and American Airlines has taken the St. Jude partnership to new heights!
To increase American's partner engagement, American Airlines has supported St. Jude as a National Series Sponsor the past four years for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer and has generously donated roundtrip tickets for our national fundraising challenges. American Airlines will be the exclusive St. Jude airline for this year's St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.
By offering this St. Jude sponsorship, American Airlines employees will have the opportunity to engage as a volunteer in various levels, such as a greeter, kids' zone helper, hospitality tent, Coach's Corner attendant, participant in the local planning committee, and most importantly, fundraise as a participant. Each volunteer role is so important, and with the American Airline employee engagement it will proved to be a successful fundraising event for the kids of St. Jude. American Airlines offer their employees an internal site known as "Do Crew" to volunteer for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer in September.
To continue the American Airlines holiday support for the annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving « campaign, American Airlines offers a full-page color ad in their priority magazine, American Way. In addition to the print ad, American Airlines supports St. Jude through the promotion of the Thanks and Giving movie trailer shown on their U.S.-originating flights during the month of December. Now, with the newly merged airlines of US Airways, their continued support of Thanks and Giving through print advertising and in-flight video messaging has increased the American Airline's awareness of 4.2 million monthly customers!
