Luis Diego

I’m joining the nationwide movement in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. For our family, this walk is deeply personal.

 When my son Luis Diego was very young, St. Jude gave our family the miracle we had prayed for: a second chance at life.

 After his leukemia relapse, our family turned to St. Jude during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. Luis received the specialized treatment and care he needed, and from that moment on, we never felt alone. We were surrounded by extraordinary people who cared for him and gave our family hope when we needed it most.

 Today, Luis is a healthy teenager, growing, laughing, dreaming, and living the life we once prayed for. 

This year, we are walking as Team Luis Diego, inspired by his journey and by everything our family experienced. Our goal is to support St. Jude and help give other children and families the same hope that once meant everything to us.

 Because of generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food, so they can focus on what matters most: being there for their children and helping them fight for their lives.

Every act of support helps St. Jude continue its lifesaving mission.
