My first encounter with the mission of St. Jude was during college as a Tri-Delta at SEMO. St. Jude was our national philanthropy and we raised money to help support their cause. A several years ago I saw an opportunity to help individually and was help to participate but that opened up my heart to want to do more. A few years ago my youngest daughter participated in the St. Jude half-marathon and we went to Memphis to support her.
This year as I was looking for a way to participate and raise money for St. Jude when I received an email from our Alumnae chapter in St. Louis and knew this was what I could do.
I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. By participating in the St. Jude Walk, I am helping to cure childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?
Because of generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. By donating to my fundraising efforts, you are helping to make that possible.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.
