Every year I participate in the St. Jude Walk to support the research that goes into findingthe cure for childhood cancer. While you have received the emails you maynot know the story.
In 2008, Ireceived calm but scared call from a close friend and college roommate. He told me that his just turned 2-year-old son is undergoing emergency brainsurgery and he thought I should know. The next day, my fiend tells methat his son underwent an eight-hour surgery to remove a brain tumor and thatmore would be coming. He was scared, nervous, and wasn’t certain what thefuture had to offer.
The futurewas St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
For over ayear there were surgeries and chemo. The family was forced to live apart whilemy friend worked his job and his wife sat with their son at St Jude.
This year,Christian Sloan graduate from Northport Highschool on Long Island, NY. He graduated because of the dedication of the team at St Jude and love from hisparents.
This is whyI walk with St. Jude.
