At just 8 weeks old, I became very sick. What should have been a time of growing and thriving turned into a frightening struggle to stay nourished. I was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis, a condition that prevented food from passing from my stomach into my intestines. Simply put, I could not keep food down, and my tiny body wasn't getting the nutrition it needed.
My momma knew something wasn't right. Even when answers weren't easy to find, she kept pushing, advocating, and refusing to give up until I received the care I needed. Her persistence, combined with the expertise of dedicated doctors in Memphis, ultimately saved my life. Because of their knowledge, skill, and commitment to children, I was able to receive the treatment that put me on the path to recovery.
That experience has stayed with my family throughout the years. We know how quickly a child's health can change and how important it is for families to have access to exceptional pediatric care when they need it most.
That is why St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is so important to me. Every day, St. Jude provides world-class care, groundbreaking research, and hope to children and families facing life-threatening illnesses. They help ensure that families can focus on what matters most: helping their child heal.
Each year, my puppy, Sophie, and I proudly support St. Jude. This year, we're extending our invitation to all of you. Sophie and I are teaming up with ATD Nashville to raise $1,000 for the children and families served by St. Jude.
I'm personally pledging to raise $250 toward that goal.
Will you help us?
Whether you choose to make a donation, join us for the walk, or simply help spread the word, every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can help St. Jude continue its mission of finding cures and saving children's lives.
Thank you for supporting a cause that means so much to our family. ❤
