Fight Like Klea

On September 26, our family will be walking as Team Fight Like Klea to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - a place that forever changed our lives.

When Klea was just 15 months old, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At 18 months, she underwent brain surgery and was accepted as a patient at St. Jude, where doctors and researchers are studying her tumor because it has never been seen before.

As parents, there are no words to describe hearing that your toddler has brain cancer. But from the very beginning, we were surrounded by extraordinary physicians, nurses, researchers, and staff who gave us hope when we needed it most.

Today, we are incredibly grateful to share that Klea has no evidence of disease (NED). She will continue to have MRI scans every six months, but every clear scan is a reminder of how fortunate we are and how much St. Jude means to our family.

St. Jude doesn’t just care for children - they care for entire families. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus on what matters most: helping their child heal. The research done there is shared around the world, giving hope to children of far beyond the walls of the hospital.

We walk to celebrate Klea’s strength, to honor every child and family still fighting, and to help ensure that more families hear the words we recently heard: “No evidence of disease.”
