Team 57: Warrior Strong

As a sickle cell anemia warrior of 57 years, I understand the difficult road these children and their families are traveling. Despite tremendous medical advancements, sickle cell disease and childhood cancer continue to have a profound impact on patients and everyone who loves and cares for them.

Participating in the St. Jude Walk is my way of saying “thank you” to every person who has stood in my circle—supporting me, encouraging me, praying for me, and fighting alongside me each day. It is also an opportunity to spread God’s love, offer hope, and invest in innovative care and lifesaving research for children battling cancer, sickle cell disease, and other life-threatening illnesses.

Together, we walk so that every child has the opportunity to keep fighting, growing, and dreaming.
