This year, our team at Walsh, Long & Company is participating in the Chicago St. Jude Walk on September 26th at the Brookfield Zoo, and I wanted to be part of something that gives back in a meaningful way.
What really stands out to me about St. Jude is that families never receive a bill. Not for treatment, travel, housing, or food. That allows them to focus on what actually matters: helping their child fight cancer.
I’ve also supported St. Jude in a smaller way for years, when I worked at Dairy Queen growing up, Miracle Treat Day was always something we looked forward to being part of. It’s pretty special to now support the same cause in a bigger way.
It’s also meaningful that this is our first time doing this as a team.
I set an initial goal to get started, but I’d love to go beyond it. If you’re able to contribute, I would really appreciate it.
