Mighty Maya

Hi, I am Maya and I’m 4 years old, and I love dancing, playing, reading books, and making people smile.A few weeks ago, I started getting really sick.

The doctors found a brain tumor, and I had brain surgery. Now I’m at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital getting proton therapy as I call it "Broton Therapy" to help me get better :) St. Jude is taking amazing care of me and helping my family and me every step of the way. Because of generous people, my family never has to worry about paying for my treatment, our place to stay, or our meals. We only get to focus on one thing—helping me heal.
