Why I Support St. Jude

This year, as the Volunteer Co-chair, I’m a part of the team helping organize the St. Jude Walk 2026 in Austin, to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which provides life-saving treatment to children with cancer, in need, at no cost.

This mission means a lot to me. I grew up volunteering for children battling cancer through COKSEV, an organization my mom founded in Turkey. I later became their youth leader and helped launch the first summer school for children with cancer in Turkey.

I’ve seen firsthand how much events like these mean to the families, both emotionally and financially.
