Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
Cancer has a way of wiggling its way into all our lives in one way or another. My best friend lost both of her parents to cancer, and near the end of her dad's life just a few years ago he said to her, "As bad as this is, I'm glad it's me and not your little boy. No child should ever have to go through this."
He was absolutely right. And I'm filled with gratitude that my kids, who are now 21 and 18, never had to battle childhood cancer. But other families aren't so fortunate, and supporting those families is critical.
Thanks to you donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
St. Jude is making a positive change. Consider joining me in helping them continue their meaningful work.
