Hey there family and friends! Since starting work at ALSAC / St. Jude in January of 2023, I still can't believe I get to work here! This is truly an amazing place. It's one thing to watch the commercials and see other advertisements about St. Jude on TV, but to work here is a different thing altogether. Learning about the cutting-edge treatments and then meeting the kids firsthand is humbling. I have the privilege of volunteering to bead necklaces and bracelets for the kids every other Monday and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I am a member of the Enterprise Quality Management team were we use process improvement methodologies to improve efficiencies and and eliminate waste in the organization. This September, I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
