Mary Lou (Pinto) Dalesandro, age 81, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully at Ascension Saint Alexius Hospital on August 6th. She recently celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Anthony Dennis Dalesandro who she met when she was 16-years old and adored until her death.
Nothing was more important to Mary Lou than her family. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Anthony Dennis Dalesandro II, married to Lisa Anne (Johnson) Dalesandro, and Michael Dalesandro, engaged to Chantel Maxine Schwarz. She was also the loving grandmother to her pride and joys Avalon Elizabeth Dalesandro and Victoria Valentina Dalesandro.
Mary Lou was born on December 26, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Dominica and Rocco Pinto. She embraced the true Italian spirit of warmth, strength and vibrancy having grown up in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood of Taylor Street where she formed strong lifelong friendships. She later raised her family in Arlington Heights before settling in Inverness.
Mary Lou is also survived by her sister Margaret Caliendo, married to the late Steven Caliendo. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings Camille Charnota, married to the late William Charnota, and John Rocco Pinto, married to the late Louise Pinto. Additionally, she was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Joseph Dalesandro married to Roxy Dalesandro and Robert Dalesandro. She was also a loving aunt to 13 nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou’s legacy of love, family, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Monday, August 12th at Holy Family Parish in Inverness. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 10:30 a.m.
