I am a St. Jude Hero! This year, for my 10th year of raising money for the children of St. Jude, I have decided to run another race from the Bucket List--Chicago. I will be returning to my favorite city to represent St. Jude in this special run. Chicago is a special city, but this race is more special because I am running for the children who I see every day at work who are fighting against cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Although we are able to cure many cancers, there are still sweet children who lose their fight to cancer. Until we can cure 100% of childhood cancers, I will keep running these races to raise money to help in their fight.
So I write to ask you to join me in this important fight and please support me by donating to the children of St. Jude. Any donation, no matter how small, goes directly to help care for the children, perform research to develop new treatments, and support the families. My goal this year is $5000 which I know we can meet and surpass before October.
I have chosen to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer.
Thank you again for your donation and support!
Your friend,
Steven

Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more
