Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude?

I will be participating in the Santa Barbara Triathlon in August this year as a way to help raise funds to support the battle against cancer.

As many of you may know, the battle against cancer has always had a special place in my heart. I will never forget the rush of thoughts and emotions moving through my mind when I found out that my mother was diagnosed. In an instant, you feel helpless because you have no certainty and no control.

Assistance of any form and resources that may otherwise not be available are critical during this time.

Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
