Childhood Cancer Awareness 5K Ribbon Run
Hi everyone!
My name is Shelby Sannar, and I am proud to serve as the Community Service Chair for the TCU Student Nurse Association and the Fundraising Director for Frogs for Pediatrics. This fall, I am partnering with four amazing student organizations: TCU SNA, Frogs for Pediatrics, TCU Wellness Society, and Frogs Fighting Cancer to host a 5K Ribbon Run in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The run will take place Sunday, September 28th, 2025, at 9:00 AM, starting right here on the TCU campus. We will have tables, music, and plenty of colorful yellow accessories to have fun with, all to celebrate hope, joy, and the incredible work St. Jude does for children and their families.
Every dollar raised will go directly to St. Jude, where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Since opening more than 50 years ago, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.
By registering, running, donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, you are helping give children around the world the chance to grow up, dream big, and live full lives.
Let’s make this event a powerful statement of hope. Together, we can help St. Jude change the world.
Join us, run with us, and fight for the kids who need us most.
