For my upcoming 30th birthday, I've decided to embark on training for my third half-marathon in my hometown of San Antonio (is this a midlife crisis? lol). But I can't cross the finish line without first raising my entry fee by fundraising for St. Jude's.
If you don't know, St. Jude's provides treatment, travel, housing and food to children fighting cancer. Their families never receive a bill - all funds come from donors like you and me. No family needs the added stress of medical bills while also dealing with cancer. Your contribution helps these kids and also helps find treatments for childhood cancer, saving countless lives in the future.
I've done the research and St. Jude's has great ratings from Charity Navigator. The vast majority of their donations go right back to their program expenses.
I'm so excited to come back home, literally run around my city, and do it all for a good cause. Thank you so much for your support.
p.s. I'm confident I'll finish but for those interested, I am determined to finish in less than 2:02! Feel free to send any tips and tricks for running in downtown San Antonio.
