Team Brayden

Thank you for stopping by our “Team Brayden” page. This will be our 3rd year participating in the St. Jude Walk of Las Vegas. Nikki and I started this team because we wanted to do something to support Nikki’s nephew Brayden who has battle cancer the past 7 years and is still fighting today. 

There is not much we can do but make him laugh as often as we can and keep him in our positive thoughts. However, this walk/run is something we can do! We can help raise funds for St. Jude’s, which has paid for everything Brayden has gone through, and show our support as he battles cancer daily. He lives in Tennessee with his mama and dada, but they are in our hearts daily! Thank you for your time and support as we walk/run for Brayden! "Hi, my name is Brayden, and I'm a St. Jude patient.

In 2018, when I was just 5 years old, my life changed forever. I was diagnosed with brain cancer. I went through brain surgery, weeks of radiation, and months of chemotherapy. It was scary, but I was strong--and St. Jude was right there with me.

They didn't just treat my cancer--they cared for my whole family. We never received a bill for my treatment, travel, housing, or food. St. Jude gave us hope during the hardest time of our lives.

I kept fighting, and for a while, I was doing well. But in 2023, we got more heartbreaking news: I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I had to go through another tough journey--thyroid removal surgery, more treatment, and radioactive iodine.

Right now, I'm still fighting. I take daily medicine, travel back to St. Jude every month, and continue treatment to help my body heal. It's not easy--but I won't give up.

This year, I'm walking in the St. Jude Walk/Run to raise money for the hospital that has done so much for me and so many other kids. St. Jude is changing lives, saving lives, and giving families hope.
