Why We Support St. Jude

St. Jude Walk/Run - Denver, CO

Tough as Taryn

Why We Support St. Jude

In December of 2018, Taryn was diagnosed with a rare brain stem tumor and given 2 to 3 months to live. Many hospitals were focused on end-of-life measures and how to make her last few months “comfortable.”  Not St. Jude. They were so HOPEFUL and said they would do everything they could to help save Taryn. And they did! Multiple brain surgeries, 6 weeks of daily proton radiation treatment and 5 YEARS later, Taryn is a funny and empathetic 2nd grader who loves karate, soccer, stuffed animals and playing with her dog Jack.

Taryn, and the many other kids who are currently and will face cancer, is why our team has signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run on September 22nd.

This September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are honoring and supporting those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

You can support by making a donation or joining our team!

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.

And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.

Thank you for supporting team Tough as Taryn and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.

Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
