Team Collins

Collins was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphatic leukemia at the end of October 2023 at the age of two. Our family spent the next 7 weeks in Memphis at St. Jude to begin her two and a half year treatment plan. She is currently getting treatment at the St. Jude affiliate clinic in Johnson City with periodic trips to Memphis. By participating in this St. Jude walk, we hope to give back a small piece of what has been given to us.

Making memories. Supporting a mission. That’s why our team has signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run this September as we join the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of our generous donors, St. Jude can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families. 

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
