Many of you visiting this page already know my brothers story. For those of you that don't my little brother Lucas was diagnosed with 3 different cancers in his lifetime. St. Jude was there for us all three times. They never charge the families for treatment or housing: whatever he needed while going through the roller coaster that was chemo and radiation they did their best to get. The staff was always caring and understanding of both patients and their families. When I think of St. Jude there is nothing but love in my heart and gratitude for the amazing work those doctors and nurses continue to do. Anything helps to keep cancer families lives more normal during what is probably the hardest moments of their lives.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.

And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
