Why Epic Supports St. Jude

Making memories. Supporting a mission. That’s why Epic Charter Schools has signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run. This September, we’re joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Several of us at Epic Charter Schools have been directly affected by childhood cancer making this is a personal mission for many of us.  We choose to support St. Jude in their mission to cure childhood cancer!

We will be walking and running the day of the event and would greatly appreciate your monetary support of us through a donation to St. Jude.  By making a donation or signing up for this run you will help to encourage our Epic students as they participate in this fundraiser to support St Jude!

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.

And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.

What to expect the day of the run

The Epic Family Engagement Department will have a tent set up as a place for everyone to gather.  As a reminder, Epic students who particpate will pick up their free t-shirts at the Epic tent.
