Why we support St. Jude

St. Jude Walk/Run - Memphis, TN

Fight to the Max!

Our Story

Hi, I'm Caitlin! My husband Andy and I have two beautiful boys, Tate and Max. Soon after Max's third birthday in January 2023, he started complaining of headaches and other aches and pains. After a transfer to LeBonheur from a Monday night ER visit in March 2023, Max had a tumor removed from his skull by the wonderful Dr. Klimo and Dr. Tuliszewski and teams. It was confirmed to be Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) by St. Jude the very same day. The tumor was believed to have been there for quite some time, pushing against his optic and cranial nerves, and very close to his carotid artery and pituitary gland. From one miracle to the next, we returned home with Max six days later! On March 15, 2023, we family joined the greater St. Jude family as Max began treatment under Dr. Campbell. We are so grateful to have the absolute best care in the world, just around the corner. Please help us in our fight! #lch #stjude#fighttothemax

 Why I Support St. Jude

Making memories. Supporting a mission. That’s why I’ve signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run. This September, I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, just like our sweet Max!

Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80percent. And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
