We are running this race in memory of a Pokemon training, LEGO building, Jedi fighter, and Mario Kart racer, Judah Thacker. His 6 year battle with brain cancer (5 years with a low grade pilocytic astrocytoma and 1 year with a high grade diffuse intrinsic midline glioma) ended on May 24, 2019 and in the last year of his fight St. Jude fought with him and his family. They were available and gave honest and realistic information delivered with empathy and kindness. The research being done at St. Jude is the best chance to give meaning to Judah's battle; that they could use what they've learned from him to help save other children. And they are tirelessly searching for cures. St. Jude was there for Judah, when everyone else was out of options. They made radiation and chemo, blood draws and inpatient admissions, long days of MRIs, CT scans, blood transfusions, and Dr appointments not quite as bad as they should have been. St. Jude got Judah medicine that wasn't available to him anywhere else. And Judah's family never got a single bill. No family ever does! And so we fundraise. Thank you for donating for Judah!
-- Our team is committed to fundraise for childhood cancer research and the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, so neither will we. Join our teamfor the St. Jude Walk/Run or donate to make a powerful, lifesaving impact. Let's inspire kindness and find hope because together, nothing is impossible.
