This September, we are joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Our involvement in this fundraiser is personal for our family. In February 2022, our three-year-old grandson, Park Shropshire, was diagnosed with a brain tumor requiring immediate intervention. After two brain surgeries, and proton radiation, we are so grateful to report that he remains cancer-free as he begins Kindergarten. Many of you walked this journey with us. Your prayers and expressions of support made all the difference in the way Park's family was able to respond to this crisis. Thank you for all you have done. Park's experience at St. Jude compels us to do all we can to make sure St. Jude can respond to any child facing a life-threatening diagnosis.
Can we count on your donation to help us reach our goal?
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of our generous donors, St. Jude can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer. Thank you for supporting us and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.
Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
