Why I Support St. Jude
I have always been a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital and can think of no worthier cause. As a cancer survivor I know what it's like to hear that diagnosis and I can't imagine hearing it about your child. When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent. I hope through the continued efforts and success at St. Jude that percentage will continue to climb until no parent or child fears the worst if they receive a cancer diagnosis. This is about supporting a mission and that’s why I’ve signed up to join the Whiting-Turner team and run with my daughter and husband in the St. Jude Washington D.C. Walk/Run on September 23, 2023.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month - won't you help me support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital?
And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.
Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
