This September, I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. That's why I've signed up to be the Team Captain for my Marcum LLP, LIE office and fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run on Saturday, September 21st. This year I am participating in honor of Briana Dolomite, a brave, beautiful, sweet, funny 9-year-old girl. On June 29th, 2024, Briana lost her 11month long battle with Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an aggressive type of childhood cancer that forms in the brainstem. Briana was my sister’s niece. So this means even more to me than ever. Her life was cut way too short!
Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?
Families NEVER RECEIVE A BILL from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of our generous donors, St. Jude can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. Because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Please consider donating to help me reach my goal of $1000. Every penny counts.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today! It is truly appreciated! Together we can save more lives and make a difference!
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
