Why I Support St. Jude
Through my sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha at Illinois State University, I have been lucky to work with St. Jude. St. Jude at ISU also holds a special place in my heart, as I am one of the Executive Director's for the 2023-2024 School Year. Over the summer, I was invited to attend the St. Jude Next Gen. conference at St. Jude Headquarters in Memphis, TN. Through this conference, I was able to learn more about fundraising and the importance of St. Jude. Working for St. Jude has been the most amazing experience and I am so excited to continue!
Making memories. Supporting a mission. That’s why I’ve signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run. This September, I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.
And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
