Why I Support St. Jude
In July of 2021, my great nephew Hudson Schoen, not yet 2 ½, was diagnosed with Pediatric Neuroblastoma. There was surgery, chemo, radiation, surgery and more chemo. It’s been a long haul for a little guy, 787 days as of today, to be exact. … but he has NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE !!!! So GRATEFUL for St Jude!!
Supporting my family. Supporting a mission. That’s why I’ve signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run. This September, I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Robert and I will be walking remotely for Team Two Snacks . And I mean REMOTE!!! We will be in Ouray, CO and Chama, NM on the day of the walk We will be with the team in spirit and about a mile higher!
Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?
When St. Jude opened in 1962 (the year I was born!), childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.
And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
