I am excited to help support St. Jude. I know what it is like to have a child with a serious medical condition. These children and their families need all the support they can get. The fact that people are thinking of them and doing things to help them get what they need will make a big difference for them in many ways. Spending time in hospitals with your children can be very lonely and to know that people care can be very powerful. That is why I am proud to work for amazon and to see my coworkers wearing pajamas and Amazon Goes Gold shirts to work to show that we care. Please donate if you can and what you can. I will do the run and then some...I have been thinking that I should do more than run. I will donate as well toward my goal and maybe to some of my teammates to help them reach their goals. In addition to that; I am going to make the run for myself a little more challenging. I am going to break the run up into (25) 200 meter runs with a physical challenge after each. These will include: Sled Pull, Slosh Pipe Carry, Sandbag Toss, Medicine Ball Toss, Battle Ropes, Planks, Leg Raises, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Bear Complexes, Fire Hose Pull, and I will mix in carrying an 80lb Sandbag for several of the 200 meter runs/walks. I want to put in the extra effort as an extra gesture of support. I know all too well that these families are going through so much more. Even in challenging times, the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital continues.
In moments that separate us, we come together as one for those who need us most. Because together, nothing is impossible. That’s why I’ve signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk/Run to help find cures for childhood cancer.
St. Jude is about saving kids regardless of their financial situation. The work St. Jude is doing to treat and defeat childhood cancer is only possible because of the support of people like us. That’s why I’m walking and fundraising for St. Jude and need your help.
Support me today and make a donation for the kids of St. Jude.
Here are a few reasons why I love St. Jude:
St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate for childhood cancer from less than 20% when they first opened their doors to 80% today.
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
