Supporting St. Jude has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad always set aside something each month to send to St. Jude; and though he passed while I was still young, I’ve tried to carry on that legacy for the past 18 years. Now as a parent myself, I have even more of an appreciation for the work that St. Jude does, and the hope that it brings to families when it seems like hope is lost.
I have also had the honor of being a part of the Los Angeles Walk/Run Committee for two years, which has been another wonderful opportunity for me to do my small part in furthering the St. Jude mission.
Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% — but there is more work to be done.
That’s where you come in. Donations from fundraising events like the St. Jude Walk/Run support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and families will never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
As always, thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today!
With love and gratitude,
Annaïs
