Why I Support St. Jude
As I child who spent the first 12 years of his life in and out of the hospital/emergency room due to asthma, I'm well aware now, as an adult that the financial burden on a parent is hard. When I found out that St. Jude doesn't charge the families for the opportunity to treat and hopefully save their child while they deal with all of this just really stood out to me as a rare and amazing thing. Helping bring awareness and give money to something like this so that a parent won't have to bury their child is a no brainer for me. I'm aware everyone can't be saved yet, but hopefully St. Jude will crack the code and I can smile knowing that I did my part to make that dream become a reality. My fraternity prides itself on annually fundraising for the Walk/Run event, and it's honestly my favorite part of what we do.
Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.
And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
