Since I was young, I've been fundraising for St. Jude. I found St. Jude when a family friend was diagnosed at only two years old it was St. Jude's protocol that saved her life! When I grew up, I started becoming aware of what cancer can do to people and to families. I saw the harm and suffering around me, in people that didn't deserve this. So, I decided that I could make an impact. After all, if they were fighting for their lives, surely I could fight along side them. But, I didn't realize how far I would go with this. For the past two years, I was the top fundraiser in the Bay Area, and last year, my team of close friends placed second. It's become my passion, and I'm excited to help save lives with you!
Can I count on your donation from you to help give children a chance to survive?
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of our generous donors, St. Jude can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families.
Also, St. Jude doesn't just help in the United States. For example, they helped get hospitalized kids out of Ukraine during the war. And, they also help research other diseases, since it's not just cancers children are suffering from.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer. Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.
Like Danny Thomas, the founder of St. Jude once said, "No child should die in the dawn of life."
Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
