Dear Family and Friends,
We are excited to be supporting the St. Jude Walk/Run again this year. As most of you know, Brian was diagnosed with a blood cancer when he was only 4. This year marks Brian's 20th Anniversary since arriving at St. Jude. It was the scariest day ever for me and Brian's father, Patrick. On our Team Brian page, there is a picture of Patrick holding Brian's hand as they are walking into an appointment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The picture was taken AFTER Brian’s initial hospitalization. He was in remission after only 19 days of intensive treatment. But, we learned we had three years of cutting-edge chemotherapy to go before Dr. Pui decided we had a good chance the cancer wouldn't come back.
Dr. Pui was right. After 3 years of chemo, the cancer was gone. Brian is 24 years old now and is an ocean rescue lifeguard. Above is a recent picture of Dr. Pui, Brian and me. We are so grateful.
Would you consider donating to Team Brian to help raise money for cancer research for children going through life saving treatment at St. Jude? Any amount is very appreciated. THANK YOU!
