On July 30th, our 13-year-old son, Thomas was unexpectedly diagnosed with a brain tumor. Just days later, he underwent brain surgery in Memphis. His tumor is a pilocytic astrocytoma, and because of its location, only part of it could safely be removed. Thomas will now begin treatment through St. Jude.

In a matter of days, we went from being a family who knew about St. Jude to a family who needed St. Jude. We have been incredible grateful for the care, resources and support St. Jude provides not only to Thomas, but to our entire family. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for their treatment, travel, housing or food, allowing them to focus on what matters most: their child. Thomas's Brain Trust is walking to support Thomas, the kids and families walking this road alongside us, and the life saving work happening every day at St. Jude.
