Just like so many others, I’ve been inspired by the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for as long as I can remember. But I never could have imagined I’d actually get to be part of that work, even in a small way.

While visiting with a colleague at the Google offices in Austin, she casually mentioned she was the Event Chair for the St. Jude Walk. I immediately asked her to let me know if there was anything I could do to help. She asked, “Haven’t you done marketing?” I laughed and said, “That’s pretty much all I did before this job!” She told me their Marketing Chair had just left the committee and they were looking for a new one. Talk about kismet. Within a few days I was officially signing on as the Marketing & Event Chair for the St. Jude Walk Austin.

Getting closer to this cause has not only made me believe in it even more, but it has shown me just how much every single dollar raised truly makes a difference. So thank you so much for whatever amount you’re able to give.

Joining this committee has been a major highlight, and I look forward to a lifetime of continuing to support St. Jude!
