As a member of Tri Delta at the University of Texas, I am honored to be part of our long-standing partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Since 1999, Tri Delta has worked alongside St. Jude to help lead the way in the fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Since its founding, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate of childhood cancer to more than 80%, and 4 out of 5 children now survive cancer in the United States. But even with this incredible progress, 1 out of 5 children still do not survive, and that’s why our work is far from over. We must continue pushing forward until no child dies from cancer and every family has hope for a cure. Families at St. Jude never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food because of the generous donations of individuals and organizations, as well as the fundraising efforts of Tri Delta chapters across the nation. We are grateful to help in the way we do because all a family should worry about while battling cancer is helping their child live.
This year, fundraising for St. Jude holds even deeper meaning for me. I have the privilege of serving as the Director of Philanthropy for Texas Tri Delta. In June, I had the opportunity to travel to Memphis to visit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in person. Seeing firsthand the impact of our fundraising on every detail of patient care was nothing short of life-changing. Every dollar we raise truly helps save lives, and that motivates me to work even harder.
I would greatly appreciate any support you can offer. Every donation makes a difference. Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.
