Life can change in the blink of an eye. Just weeks before his first birthday, Jojo was taken to the hospital for what seemed like severe congestion. Shortly after being admitted for observation, our family received heartbreaking news; Jojo was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a brain tumor, and needed emergency surgery. Despite everything he endured, Jojo remained a happy baby with the most contagious smile. He loved Elmo, SpongeBob, oldies music, and being surrounded by the people who loved him so deeply. His strength touched every nurse, doctor, and visitor who met him. On November 9, 2006, we lost Jojo at just two years old. Every year, we continue this walk to honor his memory, celebrate his beautiful spirit, and keep his light alive in our hearts forever.
Can I count on your donation to help me reach my goal?
Because of generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. By donating to my fundraising efforts, you are helping to make that possible.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.
