On Aug 26th 16 years ago, our 2-year-old grandson, Brady, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, neuroblastoma. Brady?s doctors were able to quickly get Brady admitted to St Jude Children?s Hospital immediately to start a treatment plan. Unfortunately, the outcome was not what we were hoping and praying. But in searching for the positive, St Jude gave us much more time to love and hold Brady in our arms. Brady displayed tenacious determination to fight his battle for nearly 3 years. Somehow, Brady was able to keep a smile through much of this time, fought harder than I think any of us adults would have been able to, and inspired our family and others through his courage, positive attitude, and bright smile. I?m not sure how we could have managed those 3 years without the great doctors and nurses at St. Jude along with the love and support from our entire family and friends. We were fortunate to have a St. Jude affiliate right here in our own backyard in Johnson City where Brady took several of his treatments. St. Jude made it possible that our son and daughter did not have to worry about a single hospital bill and often provided housing for them in one of the several family homes/living quarters they have in Memphis.
With that background, it is with humility and grace that I ask for a donation to help St. Jude Children?s Hospital find a cure so that no child or family must undergo what we experienced. If you choose to help us support this great cause, you may donate by clicking on the link below.
