Hello!
Welcome to NanaPapa's Fundraising Page for the kids of St. Jude! I'm so thankful you stopped by! I love your heart and your desire to join our NanaPapa Team for The A Team!
Alexa is now 14 - FOURTEEN - years old and doing well! She celebrated her Golden Birthday on the 14th of April! I get emotional just writing that when I think about how far she has come and what a warrior she is! I thank God first and foremost for blessing her with the miracle of life. He seen her and our family through so many hard, fearful, challenging times and it is by His grace, and the prayers, love, and support of our family and friends and even so many that we have never even met, that got our family though those tough times. And St. Jude was there through it all! God bless their big hearts for ALL they have done for Alexa and each and every single one of our childhood cancer kids who walk through their doors. I can’t even imagine how our family would have gotten through without them!
As a recap, below I will put Alexa’s story in a nut shell, written by her mama, Sara. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our efforts to raise not only funds, but also awareness, for this horrible disease we call childhood cancer. Together - we are making a difference!! I promise!! ❤❤

“Meet Alexa.
Alexa was diagnosed in July of 2013 with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. She was 15 months old with a massive tumor on her spine and disease in her bones and bone marrow. After a grueling 8 months of chemotherapy, she was declared in remission, only to relapse just 6 months later. This moved her into the high risk category, with a 25% chance of survival. Over the next 6 years, Alexa endured high dose chemotherapy, radiation to her spine and femur, stem cell transplant, multiple cycles of immunotherapy, years of clinical trials, countless infections, hearing loss, surgeries, sepsis, and TWO more relapses. We could write an entire book about her journey, the ups and downs, and the roller coaster of emotions we went through as a family fighting for our young child's life.
Fear, joy, uncertainty, grief, hope, devastation, guilt, relief, tears, anger, sadness…..7 years fighting a battle we weren't sure we could win; 7 years not knowing if we would see her next birthday.
This is her story in a nutshell; it would take a very long time to talk about everything she went through to get to where we are today. We will forever be grateful to St. Jude for saving our daughter’s life so that we could go on to tell her story. We raise money for kids just like Alexa so that they can have hope for a cure!

We’re joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. By participating in the St. Jude Walk, we are helping to cure childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Can I please count on your donation to help us reach our goal?
Because of generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. By donating to my fundraising efforts, you are helping to make that possible.
Thank you for supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. ❤
