Luke Over Leukemia

When we heard the words no parent ever wants to hear, the badge from one of the doctors reading “St. Jude” gave me a little peace going into the unknown. You hear the radiothons and never think one of those stories could be yours .. until it is. 

Meet Luke Blevins! Luke was diagnosed in April 2023 at just 6 years old with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (here in Huntsville, AL). Before I knew it, we were in an ambulance headed straight to Memphis. Fast forward to now, and we are coming up on our FINAL weeks of treatment! Luke will be FINISHED mid-November! Luke might have lost his hair, his school time, and freedom to do the things he loves most during this journey, but what we have gained is SO much more valuable! St. Jude does SO much more than take care of your babies; they take care of you too! The atmosphere and environment is simply unmatchable, and I will forever be thankful for ALL they have provided for our little family during this time. 

I’m joining the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most — the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. By participating in the St. Jude Walk, I am helping to cure childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases!
