Miles for Miles

Our team is walking our Miles for Miles!

Miles was diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma brain tumor in Oct of 2020. The tumor is typically found in young children and is very rare only covering about 3% to 5% of pediatric tumors. It has affected his vision, growth and learning abilities. 

With Mom Alainna, and his older brother Liam at his side, Miles and his doctors dove right into treatment. They immediately scheduled an exploratory open brain surgery as well as a year of chemo. With very little result, they were referred to St. Jude in Memphis. 

Miles has since gone through multiple rounds of proton Radiation Therapy at St. Jude Hospital. His team at St Jude Memphis specializes in treating his type of tumors and because of these treatments, his medical team has finally started seeing small improvements to the tumor and condition of his health. 

Beyond the outstanding medical treatment that Miles has received, St. Jude has provided their family with the resources and skills to help him succeed outside of the medical environment. Along with this comes the comfort of knowing that no matter what, they will never pay a dime for Miles to receive these potentially life saving treatments.
