Walk for Liz

This will be my second year participating in this fundraiser walk/run for St. Jude.  I walk for two main reasons.  My college roommate and friend, Liz, battled rhabdomyosarcoma during the time that I knew her.  Unfortunately, in October of 2022, the cancer won.  The following year, my friend and roommate, Liz's best friend, Emma, and I joined together with friends and family of Liz for the St. Jude walk in her memory.  The other reason why I walk is my grandmother.  My grandmother had one of the most generous hearts I've ever known, and her cause of choice was St.Jude for donations in place of flowers being donated for her funeral.  I walk to continue her generosity, to remember Liz, and work toward a time when childhood cancer won't win.
