Every step helps save lives. That?s why our team has signed up to fundraise for the St. Jude Walk as we join the nationwide movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support those who need us most ? the kids of St. Jude.

Tau Kappa Epsilon and St. Jude

The Fraternity has had St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as it's official philanthropic effort for over 60 years. Since Danny Thomas, former frater & founder of the organization, we've been helping change the lives of countless families and giving their children a fighting chance against cancer. With the donations of countless generous people and fraters throughout the year, researchers are able to acquire state of the art technology, children are able to stay children through the purchasing of toys and entertainment, and parents' no longer have to stress because they do not have to handle the bill of staying at St. Jude.
 

Our St. Jude Walk Team

The Alpha Chapter of TKE, located at Illinois Wesleyan University, is dedicated to raising money to meet the goal set for our walk team and raising the bar higher each time we hit it in the hopes we lead the charge in gathering donations for St. Jude. We've already hit our initial goal of $1,000 and our raised goal of $2,000 less than 24 hours after that. The current goal for our team is $3,000.

On the day of the walk, many of the brothers will be taking part in the mile walk, as well as many of their mothers as a key part of their Mom's Day itinerary . Leading up to that, we are spreading the word about our efforts from individuals at the school to family afar.
