Why We Support St. Jude
Dragons for St. Jude
In loving memory of Alexander Himpler, I'm raising money to support St Jude Children's Research Hospital by participating in the St. Jude Walk - Baton Rouge, LA on October 4th.
Alexander was a student at St. George School who received treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Alexander?s heroic 2 ½ year battle ended on April 23, 2024.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Several of my young friends were blessed with healing of their cancer by the lifesaving care at St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital.
This lifesaving mission is important to me for many reasons:
· Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food ? so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of our generous donors, St. Jude can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families.
· When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Please consider supporting me and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today - http://walk.stjude.org/all4alexander
Thank you,
Charlene Lauman
