Walt's Wingmen

Walt the Fighter Pilot fought a brave 3+-year battle with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. He passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 7. In his short time on Earth, Walt made a lasting impact on those around him. With his insatiable curiosity, kindness, quick wit, and incorrigible attitude, he found a way to make every day a good day.

We know firsthand that St. Jude is making a difference in the lives of the patients and their families. Walt loved St. Jude with all of his heart.

We are Walt's Wingmen. We walk in memory of him. We walk in honor of his lasting legacy. We walk for all of the kids at St. Jude who are fighting every day for the ability to just be normal kids.

St. Jude will never stop until no child dies of cancer. Neither will we.

Our team is committed to fundraise for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancers and other life-threatening diseases.

Since opening their doors more than 50 years ago, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate for childhood cancer from 20 percent when their doors first opened to more than 80 percent today — but there is more work to be done.

That’s where you come in. Donations from fundraising events like the St. Jude Walk/Run support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and families will never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
